Final Weekend In Arizona.....

Ryan flew down on Friday May 14th and we spent the weekend packing and having some final fun in the sun before we loaded the U-Haul and headed to Vernal. Ryan and I were able to sneak in a little golfing at my mom and Larrys Country Club and had an awesome time! It was the first time Ryan had been out golfing this year and it was my first time in about 5 years. We both played pretty well considering how long it had been and more importantly had a great time together. We took the kids out to dinner and bowling on Monday Night (Family Home Evening) and they loved it! Ryan was frustrated because I beat him but I told him he had better just get used to it! ;-) The kids had a blast and I have to admit as a family in general we aren't too bad of bowlers. We had a really good final weekend in Arizona! The next step was not going to be as fun but we are excited to get us all moved to Utah and start our life together.

Thankful....

As most all our family is aware...we are working hard to be able to bring Briyana with us to Utah.  We have so much going on in our lives with the wedding, the move, and the custody battle.  If it isn't hard enough to have a long distance relationship alone, we have all the other things going on.  I continue to put my faith in God and know that whatever happens is in his plan.  I also, am so thankful for such a wonderful family and support system.  Thank you Ryan, for everything you do for me and my kids.  You have been so supportive and understanding through these last few months.  I also want to thank your family for accepting me and making me feel so welcome and part of the family....that means so much to me!!  I am looking forward to the move to Utah and starting our new beginning in Vernal.  Please continue to pray for us and especially Briyana. I can't wait for Ryan's family to meet my wonderful children and them to be included in his wonderful family.

1 more Mexico pic...

I left out the best sign I have seen in a LONG time. This was at one of the places we ate in Mexico and I couldn't stop chuckling. I don't know why it struck me so funny but it did! Needless to say, we weren't in Kansas anymore, Dorthy!

Much needed trip to Mexico!

Okay so anyone who knows me by now has heard about my fall at the Jazz playoff game. It caused quite a stir! So here is the infamous facebook picture that caused all the drama.

The following week when I went down to visit I was still pretty banged up in the face as well as the ankle. Brandi and I decided that we needed to get away just the two of us and spend a little time together and just reconnect. We decided to take a 3 hour car ride across the border to Rocky Point and have some R&R. I have to admit I am a good driver in the states but I might be a better driver in mexico! :)
So we got there and we had a nice little place right on the ocean with a really nice view. We had a chance to walk on the beach and just hold hands and spend some really nice times together.

We had dinner one night at a place called "The Lighthouse" and were able to watch the sun set while we had a very romantic dinner.
It was exactly what we needed to unwind from all of the crazy things that life seems to be throwing in our direction lately! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life taking trips with this amazing woman! Thanks Brandi!

Another family weekend....

So I have been visiting Phoenix nearly every weekend for the past few months! It has been fun but expensive (thank goodness we are so close to being together 24/7). So we have really gotten into just doing the simple family thing. We spend time out in the yard just pulling weeds and mowing and living a very normal life.

We then are able to jump into the pool and cool off and just relax. It has been really warm in Phoenix so it has been nice to have a pool to relax in and even though the water is still a little on the cold side we have been able to enjoy it.

Even having a pool is not all fun and games though! Lucky for us we have the best looking pool cleaner I have ever seen!
I am also going to throw in this picture of Rhett celebrating beating 2 little helpless 8 year old girls one night at Dave & Busters just because I can! Haha Way to go Rhett! Your the man!

One of my favorite things to do is get icecream! We seem to find time to do alot of that!

I have to admit I am going to miss making these trips to Arizona and hanging out but I also can't wait to begin our life as a family together up here in Utah. We are very fortunante and blessed to have found one another!

First Family Vacation

Probably not our first choice but it worked out that we all could meet in Las Vegas for our first family vacation.....

Ryan had the boys for Spring Break and the original plan was for them to fly back to LV on Sunday. Ryan and I wanted to get the kids together before the wedding, so we decided we could all meet up in LV and spend a few days at Circus Circus. It takes twice the amount of time to drive from Vernal to LV than it does for me to drive from Phoenix to LV. The plan was for me to get there and check in, and Ryan would be a few hours behind. I of course was bummed that I would have to wait to see Ryan and the boys but was also so happy to spend the weekend together. Ryan decided to wake up early and surprise me by getting to LV early.....but, he ran into some problems! He ended up getting a flat tire between Price and Spanish Fork. It had been snowing and the temperature was in the 20's. It took over 2 hours to get the tire fixed. After getting the tire fixed Ryan headed towards Spanish Fork and only a few miles down the road he was stopped again, a major car accident which caused a 2 hour delay down the canyon. Ryan decided to go another route not knowing where he would end up or how long it would take him out of his way. He ended up getting a beautiful tour of the state of Utah. lol! I on the other hand was able to sleep in and was in no hurry to get to LV because I knew Ryan wouldn't be there until hours later. Things were smooth up until Hoover Dam, and of course they were doing some bridge work and it caused over 1 hour delay. I sat back and wondered if maybe someone was trying to tell me something and why are we having such a difficult time getting to see each other. All in all, we made it safe and we all ended up getting there at about the same time.

The most frustrating part of our trip was getting there. After that, it was smooth sailing. All the kids got along very well and we had a wonderful time together in LV. We ended up going to Madame Trousseau's Wax Museum which I have been wanting to see for a while now. We also spent a day at the Circus Circus Adventure dome and the boys had a blast. I'm not sure Briyana enjoyed the rides...lol. It was also nice that my Dad and Rita were able to come down and spend some time with all of us for a few hours.

I'm looking forward to June when we can all be together again!!
